The sculptures, presented at Pep Llabrés Art Contemporani, develop a formal investigation centered on geometry, balance, and spatial perception. Constructed from slender metal rods and brass sheet elements, the works transform drawing into volume, turning the line into an architectural gesture suspended in space.

The structures appear as if sketched in midair: open polygons, subtle curves, and diagonal tensions generate lightweight compositions that continuously shift according to the viewer’s perspective. Empty space becomes a central component; rather than defining closed forms, the sculptures suggest visual pathways and invisible relationships between elements. The shadows cast onto the wall and pedestal extend the works beyond their physical boundaries, creating ephemeral geometries that become part of the piece itself.

The use of brass introduces a luminous and warm dimension within these essentially linear constructions. Its reflective surfaces contrast with the austerity of the black or white metal rods, producing a dialogue between opacity and transparency, weight and lightness. Some works incorporate folded triangular forms reminiscent of metallic origami fragments, while others unfold as silent kinetic structures in which potential movement seems suspended in equilibrium.

The exhibition establishes connections with the traditions of geometric abstraction and kinetic art, though approached through a refined and contemporary sensibility. Each sculpture operates as an exploration of proportion and controlled instability: minimal objects that expand their presence through light, space, and perception.
